Mame_2015Libretro performance boost in 3D arcade games

So i noticed older versions of Mame ran 3D arcade games at full speed like Ridge Racer / Time Crisis 2 / Alpine Racer ect but latest versions of Mame run these games a bit slower hence when using the Mame2014_Libretro these games run slower BUT the good news is the Mame_2015Libretro runs these games almost as perfectly as the older versions of Mame did .. Just thought id share this info if its useful to anyone

Hmm, I did notice that when I was testing the chance that Tekken 3 would render properly with the 2015 core that it did indeed run better. Perhaps I'll see if it improves Ridge Racer on my end.

Havent tried Ridge Racer but did try Ridge Racer 2 and defo a big performance increase .. I can now add Alpine Racer 2 as before it was far to slow But now its much better

It runs, but it has severe rendering issues in both the 2014 and 2015 core. It has to do with the fact that it and other games that use similar hardware don't render at a 4:3 resolution but rather something like 512 x 240.

Just download the one that says cores and inside the zip there will be one saying mame just simply rename it to mame2015_libretro :)

Ah yes this happened to me... I think it was the system 246 bios that you need to download and put it into the same folder as the rom then it should work fine :)

Umm you could try the 256 bios as well but if that doesnt work then try downloading the game from a different site as i could be a bad rom dump

It's not the system 246 or 256 BIOs. You need to obtain c74.bin.
