I think the reason I haven't done this myself yet is because most of the time the issues come down to a few small things and the list of games that need this extra tweaking is rather small as far as I know. To give you an idea:
I think the best way to do this as far as specifics are concerned is to setup a sort of public Google Doc spreadsheet so people can make entries and list any fixes. I don't know how to get it all setup, but if someone agrees with my idea, I'll sticky it here on the forums. Just don't be linking to any BIOS files or ROMs of course.
Cruisn' USA does now boot, thanks for the advice. I do have a new problem. On boot, it wants you to calibrate the controls, then press enter. I couldn't find an input for enter. Worse yet, it auto save stated on a blank grey screen. Is there a reboot key?
We can do CarnEvil? How do we UI the gun? Can we reskin the zombie game to gun games?
Best thing you can do is to calibrate Cruis'n USA in an external MAME install. When I posted my cabinet artwork I included a link a preconfigured NVRAM file (or I packaged it in the art itself, I can't remember).
As for Carnevil, it can only be controlled with the with the D-Pad right now, but Dec has been looking into it. You'll likely wanna calibrate that in an external MAME install as well.
Also, this is completely unrelated, but I actually got Dance Dance Revolution 2nd Mix to boot just because I was curious. Works fine actually aside from some slight input lag, might just be my machine though.
