One of the things I loved about the arcades was walking up to machines that I had never seen before and finding some fantastic games. If like me you love NewRetroArcade, but feel that the environment can get a bit stale then this add-on is for you.

Ok, so what is the point in this I hear you ask? Well, the whole objective of this is to have a library of content that can be either randomly generated or held in a fixed location. I have a list of my favourite games that want to see in the arcade all the time, but I would like the arcade to randomise some of the elements. This allows the limitations of the small arcade to grow by just maintaining a list of available content. On top that the tool allows you to preview every aspect of your arcade. No more manual configuration steps. Just use the Arcade Manager to configure the game the way you like with minimal fuss.

1. Please backup your existing Steam\steamapps\common\New Retro Arcade Neon\NewRetroArcade directory before continuing.
2. Install the add-on to Steam\steamapps\common\New Retro Arcade Neon\NewRetroArcade folder.
3. Run the ArcadeManager.exe and configure your arcade.

- Fixed a bug where the fixed posters and cartridges were sometimes being overwritten by random ones.

Onedrive doesn't display any error messages. It is likely due to the amount of people that have downloaded the file. The easiest way is to download via the peer to peer link using something like qBittorrent. It should also be much faster.

Also could you explain how to use the random arcade feature as there are way too many cabinets to have all of the "files" for. I just can't search for each and every "file" on the internet for every cabinet. I would cry tears of joy to make this work!

Yes but most, if not all, of this downloads aren't illegal. They fall under fair use, since most, if not all, of them are out of print.

EDIT: Just checked and yeah, they only have old, out of print games for that very reason. So, none of those ROMs are illegal to download

The fair use clause exists for a reason. But fair enough. Sorry about that.

Sadly unless the company has gone bust and nobody owns the copyright or there is no evidence of freeing up ownership of a title to the public then by default the copyright covers anything up to 70 years (If I recall) before it falls under public domain by default.
Shame really, to me 20-25 years would be more than enough time passed for defaulting to free usage as there is no way anything over that is making anybody money anymore. Somebody could argue Mario but nobody is going out of their way to purchase Mario Bros 1 on the NES, they aren't buying the NES classic because they want to play them games, they are paying for the experience and nostalgia and most who buy it will already have some means of playing these games (wii virtual ware, original cart, etc).
The roms here in this package are roms that have been confirmed as free to the public domain by their original copyright owners doing the right thing to preserve the history of their game rather than letting it die of neglect.
