Graphic settings questions
Hello! I am really excited to have found NewRetroArcade! I am looking forward to setting up my own custom arcade soon. Using someone else's arcade files, I have explored possibilities, but I am confused about the video options in the options menu. What does the "RES SCALE" and the "MULTIRES" options do? I have noticed lowering the RES SCALE dramatically increases the FPS my machine can run with all the quality settings on "EPIC." Though making adjustments to the quality settings with the RES SCALE at the default 300% doesn't increse FPS as dramatically. I would like to find a happy medium in performance.

Also, I have found that when I load a custom arcade someone else has made, and then open the Arcade Manager software, all of the screens show either the wrong attract video or they will be half one video and half another. Any ideas? Thanks!

I believe there is an option to set the number of attract screens in Nabeday's Arcade Manager. It might be worth asking in the thread for it: http://steamcommunity.com/app/465780/discussions/0/343786746006038700/

Resolution Scale is used for upscaling the image. Higher values mean that New Retro Arcade: Neon will render at a resolution higher than your display resolution. If you're having poor performance, it is best to lower this. MultiRes is intended for VR users. It lowers the overall rendering resolution.

The attract video is likely using more than the default number of videos. You can adjust this by either changing "AttractMovieLayout" in GameUserSettings.ini OR by adjusting it in the Layout Details panel in the Arcade Builder: https://imgur.com/jxSBVyP Setting the Y value to 7 should do the trick.

One thing I will mention is that if your pack is from the /r/vive subreddit, it may contain a rather large Attract Video file that is close to a gigabyte in size. I suggest you either replace it or downsample it. The video eats into memory and can reduce overall performance.

Thank you for being so quick to respond! It is very refreshing to have a game developer being so quick to help on these forums. When you mention the "Arcade Builder" is this the same as the Arcade Manager software, or something else? I do not see a Layout Details panel in the Arcade Manager (If I am looking in the correct place.)

Also, thank you for all the hard work you put into this game!

Oh! haha! I'm sorry for being an idiot...I'm new to this! I had no idea there was software included with the instalation. It isn't clearly mentioned in the info I have been reading, I assumed that Arcade manager was the official application.
