English Cutscenes
Hey! First time ever making a discussion so please pardon me if i don't follow any/all possible rules properly. I just finished the game and wanted to know more about the ending, as it was really misleading. I found out that it's because all of the cutscenes are missing. Now I know they are there, you just need the right codecs. Can someone please explain how to obtain the proper codecs and how to find out if and where old ones can be uninstalled from? This game is amazing and I'd absolutely replay it to fully grasp the storyline, but I have no idea how to get the codecs. I know there are videos of the cutscenes online, but only for the second part, or the first part is in Chinese, and I would really like to play it as a whole. Sorry for the giant post, again my first ever discussion. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you for your reply and sorry I couldn't get back sooner. That video is exactly what I am talking about. He is also missing the english cutscenes in his video. This video ( Full Walkthrough ) shows the cutscenes at the beginning, and starting at 17:23. However, they are in chinese I believe (sorry if I am mistaken) and I am unable to read them. Thank you for trying, however. I still would love if someone was able to help me fix this apparent video encoder problem though :/

I had the same problem when I first played the game, but I could manage to solve it by installing K-Lite Codec Pack. It's pretty simple; however, I recommend you to uninstall any codec pack you already have before installing a new one (it's the same process of uninstalling softwares, games etc.).

I've seen people talk about K-Lite before. My question is if I'm running windows 10 and have not changed anything, where do I find the outdated codecs? I've already looked in Programs and did not see anything there, unless it is listed as something else. Finally, installing K-Lite add the cutscenes in English as well, or still Chinese (again forgive me if I'm mistaken on the language). Thank you!

If you haven't found outdated codecs on your computer, that means you didn't have any installed. But I'm glad K-Lite worked for you as it did for me.

Update: I was half asleep writing that comment. The end part was a question of whether the subtitles would be in English or Chinese. I just now installed K-Lite Basic and can indeed confirm it does fix the cutscene issues and the subtitles are in English! For anyone who was having the same problem as me, using K-Lite does fix the issue! Just Google K-Lite, and the site should come up with the publisher being codecguide! Thank you Junny for your help! Now to shed more tears then I really should over a video game... XP

Greeting, Thanks for your review! We have fixed the problem that system language caused cutscene could not display correctly. If you could not see the cutscene in previous version, now after update you can see it now. Sorry for this problem.

Replay it! I absolutely love this game enough to replay it with the update and without the codec addon!
