How do you save a game?

I can't seem to figure out how to save. Also, I have dual monitors with my gaming laptop. I am playing this game on the left monitor. However, if I accidentally move the cursor too far to the right then the game goes down to the task bar. When I click on the icon again it won't come back up - just disappears. That means I have to keep starting over because I haven't figured out how to save my game. I have Windows 10, but am running the game in compatibility mode with Windows 7. Any ideas?

Load and save are found in the notebook in your inventory... I've never used it with dual monitors... Have you tried alt tab to get back to it?

NS Plover: Thanks for the save game tip. I did try alt tab but it didn't work, and the game just went away. I'll have to be careful about clicking outside of the monitor or maybe just duplicate the display so the game plays on both screens. Then I won't be able to click out of bounds, lol.
