Extreme mode loot run
Is it normal in 90lv extreme run to get from loot boxes 90% blues and legendary items? From around 4-5 runs dropped 20 boxes and only 2-3 items was epic , from the picture down all items was blue and legendary, is it normal? maybe i have to stop for some time ground missions? or any idea for some missions that maybe have better drop rate ?

I will not try and tell you what is wrong other than really bad luck and the fact that Large Containers are not assured to have Epics. I have had other thought on this in the past, but you are at another extreme to my comments. You are over your head and I have only seen what you are seeing when lingering too long as the game scales up. The game is not scaling up to you ...so not 100% sure. If your team is not all combat lvl 80, then not sure.

I will just say the game can be temperamental ... and it is only seen through long droughts which is usually our fault.

I would try Phage Canister missions. I would also try, as an experiment, staying in Min 80 {if 80 average}. Besides any Triples you see are Min 90 {if in 80} anyhow lol.

Either way I would need to know more.

All my team is lv80 and I play in lv90 areas and yes I follow your advise before about missions with Phage Canister but the drop loot stay the same as a mention 🤔

You are just having bad luck. Probably the simplest answer. Now when you stop seeing Large Containers a lot, then you may be in a real drought. Personally I never "♥♥♥♥♥" to myself unless I see no Large Containers at all lol.

I just hope you are not there for loot drops only ... be a shame if no one was learning anything.

All in all I would do things different from the start. In my opinion if the player is roaming around Min 90 with a lvl capped crew and still needing things, then something went wrong. The only exception is the player learning all possible skills ... an activity that will leave the level cap far in their past lol.

I missing epic schematics armor and weapons, it's the only reason I run ground missions, so it's bad luck I guess 🤔

I am still baffled how you got that "far" into the game and did not see enough Epic Armor loot drops to have unlocked, via Salvage, multiple times over by now.

The only possible solution ... is that you, in fact, have not spent that much time on the ground. Of course hitting combat lvl 80 does not mean ♥♥♥♥ anymore {no offense}. It is how you hit 80 that matters. But since we can produce combat lvl 80s with zero skill development {literally} ... it cannot be used to mean anything anymore. I need to remind myself of this fact on occasion ... easy to forget. But as the player that literally proved this out of boredom ... I still forget on occasion lol.

All I can say is that players that stay on the ground post Achemdius will not have your problem. Specifically if the player's ground team all hit 80 from being on the ground only {and training Blue Skills}, then you will never have seen what you saw. Ever. Not when it comes specifically to Armor and Personal Shields. So before you say. "whelp not sure what to say, but that is what happened to me" I would not believe you. You would have been having to actively sabotage yourself ... selling Epics ... deleteing them etc ... something crazy like that lol.

I still know nothing about your team btw. I would need to know their history {to integrate over lol} ... just kidding. But I would need to know more about them.

All in all I cannot help but feel you have no idea what is going on lol ... fair enough ... it is your first file right? It should be sloppy as hell, confusing, and riddled with errors of thought lol. None of us knows everything, but I can speak on what not to do ... or how not to mysteriously avoid the piles of endless Armor and Personal Shield drops we see at all tiers of loot.

I stand by my words. If you or any player develops their crew mostly on the ground, then you will unlock those schematics via Salvage long before you Salvage out anything else.

I am so confident in the distribution I will list it again ... with the honorable mention that it is only true over time {t gets large} ... "no duh Here" lol.

In all probability you will see Personal Shields first, then Armor parts will all come in back to back in any order. These will be done for a bit, then Fist will finish, then SMG, then Shotgun, then Pistol {bother versions}, ... a bit later in time you may get all 3 2h or 1h variants knocked out. Either way all variants will be close. I literally unlocked Epic Pistol and Beam Pistol in the same Salvage run as they game keep them very close to each other.

Then comes the Rifles {both variants} .... then last, but not least, Big Guns start getting finished.

Note, my friend, time {as eluded to} matters. Even on my current file I was lucky to unlock what I cared about, but still came up short per my "deadline". I had to spend Tokens on Epic Nanos ans Scopes to finish those. But had my ground training been longer, I am confident I would eventually have lowered their percents more from Salvage .. .or eventually got "lucky" and got a free Legendary {or Epic} to save my Tokens. But I did not get there. I also failed to unlock all 2h, 1h, Rifles, and All Big Guns ... though I was given a free Epic Missile Launcher Schematic as loot ... as well as other misc Legendary and Epic schematics as drops {well just 2 Epic Schematics with the other being the Magazine :-( lol ... I do not use those}

So yeah if I was on a file that wanted to unlock everything {completionist style}, then I would have more work to do for sure. So we are clear ... I only assure Epic Armor and Personal Shields be long completed via Salvage. The rest depends on what you are using for your team. I joked before ... if the player plans on SMGs and Shotguns, then I assure they will be done also lol ... maybe even Pistols and surely Fists ... but the others take more time due to obvious diffusion via variants ... or make the player wait on a freebie.

My basic advice to new player is to, at least, Salvage all Legendary and Epic drops out of the gate {or wear it} ... selling the rest for cash. You may also just Salvage everything for faster Salvage skill growth, but may wish you had more cash later ... depends. As a "ground-pounder" like myself ... it is always "small money". I am broke in game right now lol {less than 10 Mil} ... anyway making money is easy ... working on those things we cannot just buy takes more. I spend my early time in the game working on what I cannot buy ...and by the time I need to spend money I mysteriously have just enough lol.
Dedalous Apr 16 @ 4:33am
I have been in space a lot with a lot of space battles but most of my lvup was in ground mission , the only epic schematics i have is shields and SMG, I loot a lot of boxes , all my team have 100 salvaging so i have 10% from every team member for drop rate, so its just bad luck i think:steamsad:

Well of course Salvage Perks have nothing to do with drop rates for non-schematics. I will admit there was a point when I thought having the Perks made more Large Containers show up ... and they may for all I know, but obviously the Perks do not claim to. Another poster a bit ago {forgot name} dipped in for a sec and said something I have seen and felt myself ... but again it cannot be proved ... that is the game does look at progression of our team {growth more than progress in Story}. But yeah no proof there except it seems to be true.

In time the game does seem to start doing different things we will not see earlier ... but again I cannot prove that ... just say I have seen a few things.

I will say that having all members with the perks does seem to increase schematic rates as they are supposed to, but that is also hard to prove. So many things hidden from us lol. The game has clearly changed even since going from my "NX-A2 Project" {idle} to my current "NX-AP Project" {nearing idle lol}. " NX-AP" never got any Armor Schematic drops at all except one Basic and one Exceptional very early in the file ... these were for free as this file was only Salvaging Epics {and Junk}.

I mention this as the game never gave me another free ones of those ever. If you looked at my screen for Armor you would see a basic, and green and the Epic I unlocked via Salvage. I should also mention my Personal Shield screen looks similar. Just what I unlocked via Salvage and a couple misc freebies given way early in the file. Of course all the Basic to Rare Weapon schematics were given for free per usual by hour 40 or so.

So being fair to you ... and I am not sure this applies to you at all, but there could be something wrong with the game giving free Personal Shield and Armor schematics ... as all I have seen were few and early ... the rest had to be Salvaged out. I did notice this this time, but glazed over it as I do not care about anything but Epic ... and already knew for a fact, that at about 200-300 hours in I would have Personal Shields and all Armor unlocked via Salvage.

Should there be any language barrier ... I want it to be perfectly clear if it was not already ... I am talking only about Salvage all this time. I am not talking about freebies. The fact is that if the player from out oif the gate stays on the ground and Salvages all Epics {at least} that they loot, then they will all see the same distribution over time. I swear by this as the math is simple and I have lived and witnessed it longitudinally on several files now.

Even at ~500 hours {assuming no freebies} the player will not have it all ... but they will most certainly have finished Personal Shields and Armor by then without question. By 500 they should also have Fist, SMG, Shotgun, Both Pistols,, and some decent progress in 1h, 2h ... with Rifles {both} maybe in the ~60% range .... with Big Gun maybe in the 40%s.

This happen every time without freebies ... with only small variations {like Shotgun getting done before SMG instead of the other way around lol}. Obviously the game can grant us free schematics saving us some "work". Depending on the crew etc ... you may find yourself feeling unlucky. I know players that have their heart set on using a Crafted Epic Missile Launcher ... may have better odds looting a Legendary and/or Epic Missile Launcher schematic than waiting on Epic loot to drop lol.

Granted their is a Faction Vendor also, but ... if your Epic progress is ~20% at 500 hours {totally normal for Big Guns} ... good luck affording, for Tokens, ~80 Epic Missile Launchers lol ... yeah do not do that folks. Sure there have been proud cheaters that give them self Tokens with an editor ... so this means nothing to them lol ... but for the rest of us it would be an insane amount of Tokens ... that maybe only a guy that lived in the Research Facility and got 1000000 Standing with Halamis might have lol. {of course that same player robbed them self more than they will ever know}.

I do not think you are being dishonest at all ... I only suspect you may not have spent enough time on the ground as you would not be an exception to the distribution. I do not believe in bad luck in a long term sense. Sure I can run a place or two and feel disappointed, but that is a blip in time. I have no doubt you spread out your activities ... which is totally cool and your right. This is also your first file right? I know you mentioned, in the past, being close to ~1000 hours in the game. Does that mean the file you are playing atm is 1000 hours old? Of course it does not have to mean that ... but I would be curious how many hours the file you showed above has on it.

Again I cannot see your file {and it is not my business to per se} ... but I know for a fact that at about the 200-300 hour mark of just pure ground {from the start of the game}, the player will have unlocked, via Salvage alone, Personal Shield {usually first for everyone} and all the Armor. To be clear this is just Salvage of Epics alone. If you Salvage Legendary item also ... it only goes faster as you are contributing up. Note the Distribution is identical to all tiers.

Still I was not there riding along to witness your behavior and the possible changes you went through etc. I would have to image how a player played, but magically avoided this set distribution. I can think of a lot of things. I most simple is the player that got their ship for the first time and never "landed" again ... just stayed up in Space beating their head against a wall lol. I can think of the player that sold everything they picked up out of ignorance. I can even think of the player that deleted them as they picked them up lol.

Silly of course, but if it is a player's very first file and they have no experience nor intuition for such games {or games in general lol}, then they may do all sorts of "stupid" things. Which applies to us all. One of my first files back in 2018 was a "project" where the main character, Coral, lvled up alone for the whole game ... becasue I was so smart that i was just going to hire 60s {60 was cap then} lol ... very "stupid". Or I at least felt pretty stupid when I saw what a lvl 60 hire looked like lol. The "project" was a a failure in all but the learning.

Anyhow I write all this be cause I like all ST players {the ones that play legit at least} and I care. I know I cannot know everything and I would love nothing more than an exact answer for you other than "tunnel ground more". Still I promise that you are not above the distribution over time. Simply that you somehow spent time elsewhere lol. "Bad luck" is "local".

Should you ever start over/make a new file ... my basic advice would be to put Space off until later. "The Distribution" I refer to is not a lie or one player's unique experience lol.
Though if you are on your first file still ... of course you will not see this ... it took me a few files over time to see it. I, like many, used to think everything was 1 to 1 and equally likely to drop ... with only variants losing the race as they would diffuse. But this is not what we got.

While I cannot tell you a specific number for a "weight", I know they exist by observation over time. As much as I would like to be "special" ... I witness this same distribution on evert file in the "modern era" of the game for Extreme {not played below Extreme in years}. "Modern era" being since Large Containers were added ... and supposedly when the "higher risk/higher reward" started to matter {playing on a higher settings was supposed to mean better loot}. Having not played below Extreme in years I cannot confirm if it matters or not {on the ground specifically}. Space is currently just a "hardcore" challenge to have it at max settings. But I cannot 100% prove that either since I always have it on Max to be on the safe side ... at least for the few hours it takes to get all Space Schematics using my methods. Something you saw with "Clouds" ... even if you had all Space Schematics before I shared that with you. But if you start over ... you can use "Clouds" {should they remain} to do the same.

I was not lying when I said "Space is a blip in time" for me {reinforced humorously how the game freezes time during Crafting etc lol}. When you saw that screen I made in your thread ... that file was closing in on 490 hours. That screen was literally like my 4th "Cloud" after leaving the ground. All Space schematics were finished before the crew hit an average of 30 {they are closing in on 50 now since returning to Space after the Crafting grind [yes I stopped for this]}. The only ground this file has left is Chapter 2 ... and I would not ever have done Chapter 1 except my main needed the amplifier to lvl up with {per one subset of this current "project"}.

Nothing against the Chapters of course ... I just prefer do Story in style with a fully capped and tricked out team so as to see the best the game has ... of course the player is still too much at this point, but still lol.

Just know you did not do anything wrong ... how could you know better? Any legit player does not know anything on their first file {or 2 lol} save intuition, insights, and a strong case of the "what ifs" ... and of course general scientific skill to observe patterns and form models {this part is extra lol}.

It is just a game, but the dev gave us a great place to think about things and mess around without outside intervention or cheating etc. ST is not alone in this, but it has kept me around for a very long time ... I cannot say that about a lot of games.

Long Story Short {lol} ... if I misunderstood and you are literally waiting on "free" Epic schematics to drop as loot, then yeah ... . As eluded to above I did witness a difference with "free" Personal Shield/Armor schematics for all tiers not dropping as they used to. Just like how Basic to Rare Weapon schematics work currently ... being dropped for "free" at low skill lvls with no perks set ... early in a files life. With INT changes to Yellow Skills ... this may be even earlier now.

Full disclosure ... I have literally never used the Salvage Perks to increase the odds of a "free" Personal Shield/Armor schematic drop ... as I always relied on the fact that Salvage would take care of it long before my Crafting window {nearly ~500 hours from file birth}. So I fully admit to glazing over this entirely as the Perks for Armor was made trivial due to drop rates and Salvage {allowing focus on Weapon schematic Perks instead}.

Still even with no Perks set for Armor via Salvage {like on my current file} ... why would I never see any ... it was like it just turned off at a point lol. How did I ever get "Basic Chest" for free as a drop, but then never saw anything else except from Salvage {as talked about}?

So there may be an issue in there somewhere. Again it is glazed over by the way I play {I promise I will never craft a Basic lol} ... but is the drop rate "zero" for those unless perks are set? I doubt it is zero, but the game barely gave me any of the low ones ... almost like it knew I did not care lol.

While it may not show much ... and will certainly not prove time etc. Just that this is what my current file's Armor Tab and Personal Shield tabs look like as a result of only ever Salvaging Epics. It would not fit on the screen otherwise lol {not the Armor tab}.

Armor Tab
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3465306663
Shield Tab
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3465306827

As you can see I was given only 1 Basic Personal Shield for free and in the Armor tab only a couple misc free non-Epics as schematic drops. This may help you indirectly if you issue was more about why you were not seeing a lot of "free" scheatic drops,

As earlier above ... I am baffled by it also. Why was I even given anything but what I Salvaged for it it was just to stop? Again the screens are what I wanted though ... in that "who cares" about anything else? Salvage produced all I needed over time ... and long before I needed to Craft it. I just took these screens, but they have looked this way for hundreds of hours.

Nice:steamthumbsup: So the epic schematics that you have is for armors and shields?
And NO I am not waiting fro the free schematic but i want to have a good drop rate of epic items to salvage for the scehmatics

Awesome ... glad it is finally coming together lol. To answer your question above ... those were just screens of Armor and Personal Shields ... but they are not all I know if that is what you were asking.

Would be harder to show the other screens ... but for the ground I have what you saw, and the usual suspects {as I swear by} Fist, SMG, Shotguns, Both Pistols, and Epic Missile Launcher {the launcher was a free schematic drop ... it was at 20% before that free drop lol}.

Of course all of Space was ground out ... so I have those also. I have none of the 1h, 2h, Rifles or Big Guns {except the freebie Epic schematic for Missiles}. I also have the Epic Nano and Scope unlocked, but was forced to spend Tokens to finish those. It was not too bad as they were both high enough that it was not too expensive in Tokens.

Still I am happy as this file is not a completionist file like my old main one ... so as long as I get the Epic unlocks I care about {and this file did ... just barely}, then I am happy.
Dedalous Apr 17 @ 10:52pm
yeap, i am focusing in some Halamis missinons for tokens too ,becouse i will need for sure those 4-5 pieces for the final salvaging .
