How do you sell boarded ships?

I've always just blown up the ships after clearing them out. I left the beacon but nothing actually happened. I didn't get any credits. Am I suppose to sit there waiting until it gets picked up?
If yes you are suppose to wait, do you wait inside the ship or in your ship? And How long do you need to wait?

1) You must kill all enemy troops 2) You must salvage/repair ship parts 3) You must place beacon 4) You must activate beacon 5) Conversation and cash.

how do you activate beacon? After placing beacon It wouldn't let me interact with it again?

After completing all objectives (you can see the checklist under the radar), you then place the beacon. Once the beacon is placed - in the same area under the radar there will be a button you press to speak with Arkus to sell the ship.

It would be nice if the broken ship nodes highlighted when tapping Tab like loot does. They can be tricky to locate at times. Great game, and appreciate the great work!

They are highlighted in red and you can also see sparks coming from them.

Most common places to find them:

Engines: In the back (most obviously)
Weapons: In the cockpit
Systems: quite often in or near the crew quarters.

Correct, they are highlighted, when pressing Tab. However, you have to hold tab for one or two seconds, to see it. If you just press Tab very shortly, you won't see it highlighted.

The highlight red is dificult to see on some ships, so you cant see it, unles at right angle. Might help if the red box was made a bit bigger, so it highlights the objects all arround and not only a front (cabinet) or top wiev (controll table), engine part is easy to see thou red all around.
