Recruits at the Trade Port?

Are these all the same? or always the same? Im not a fan of 'Big guns' so I dont recruit that person but there isnt much other variety.

theres 4 and you can only have 3 at a time, for now its just the basic side of mercs it will get much bigger pool with more options as more features and systems get into the game.

I went for the ones who had skills like piloting as the normal combat skills are easy enough to level up however you want.

Dev, will our party member strictly be chosen from the Trade Port recruit? Or is there any NPC that will have a story attached to them? Like in Baldur's Gate where the NPC have their own story and character.

There will be NPC's that have their own backstory in the game. The merc system is pretty basic right now.
