Do you happen to have the original source code for Arcanum? It would be sweet if one day someone made an enhanced edition of that game.
He is at the top of the (short) list of the good ones. I couldnt name 10 titles which i feel was considered successful in regards to EA, by successful i mean the whole development process and finished title. Anyone who backs this title surely won't be disappointed., and if you are you can blame me =)
4-5 months ago I have passed this title onto reviewers / previews / youtubers in the gaming community who would hopefully give credit and exposure to Don and his love child, and how well he is using EA and the top notch communication to his fans/customers. I don't know if he has been contacted by anyone in relation to this or not, and no one got back to me which i find strange, i tried.
I would assume more people passing on info to well known gaming community youtubers to help with exposure of this title might be a good idea if you want to help sales, which in turn gives us a better title.
Thank you Join my group and Order - Certainly any exposure is good. I've been holding off contacting press myself so more content was available and closer to finished. However, any word of mouth or community exposure is very much appreciated including press.
I think once space combat is in and the FTL gates open, I'll feel a bit more confident that the game will be ready for reviews/previews. That and some additional polish. I have had a number of press inquiries and passed on keys to them, so it is likely some that you contacted Order did get back to me - thank you!
To answer your question - we don't call him Superdev Don for nothing
I have never had more faith in an early access game in my life. Simply checking out the forum threads you will see how active the developer is, and the communities appreciation of this. The game is updated much more than any other in my library, every few days atm. So, i can say in all confidence that you will not pay for this game to see it fall apart
Cheers.
Well let's assume that i helped haha.
And thank you Don for giving others and myself hope that not all EA titles are a putrid experience from the consumers point of view.
I only ask one thing in return for my awesome services.
I collect big box pc games from the 80's to late 2000's, i have around 300 thus far.
I feel you should do a physical big box version with some cool goodies! , even kickstart it after you finish the development process, then i can put it next to Buck Rodgers and Battletech Cres Hawk on my shelf. =)
Thanks chookahead, produno and Join my group!
Anyone reading this who hasn't already purchased it should do so immediately!!!!
If you like the genre represented in this game you will fall in love with it immediately!!!!!
It was so thankfully received to hear of the developer's background and dedication to this project!!!!!!
These are the types of dev's who have and continue to make games worth playing (and worth their cost)!!!!!!!
God bless you sir, a job well done and your efforts are most welcome.
Order - Will be recording in professional studios if I can raise the funds. Grumpy Aussie would be fun! Thank you Order!
SpiralRazor - Thank you. I'll likely head to LA when/if I can record as I've worked at a few recording studios there in the past for a number of games. I have some ideas to involve the community a bit more in a number of ways. The first of those will be coming soon.
Someone Else - Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words!
