Vive - constant spinning

I bought this game a while back and have never successfully gotten it to work, which is a shame, because it looks very nice. My issue is that I slowly spin clockwise when in game. I can somehow get the spinning to stop pushing buttons (must be getting into a different nav mode), but then I'm unable to turn... can only go forward/backward and side to side. Any suggestions on fixing this issue? BTW - using a PS4 controller.

I fixed the issue... hand to enable gamepad emulation in the steam controller settings.
