What is legendary mode? Is it worth trying to unlock?

I've heard about legendary mode but have yet to unlock it (Incredible mode is proving difficult and frustrating to say the least). Just want to know what Legendary mode actually is and whats the difference between legendary and incredible difficulty.

If Legendary is still the same as it was in Early Access, I believe it provides no upgrades at all. That is, no perk progression. You can still acquire weapons, armour, pact bonuses (Devil guy), and the 2 extra fast-travel upgrade.

When I first attempted Incredible, I was terrible. In fact, I thought I would never beat it. Once you play it enough, and it does take time, you will improve your skills to the point you can win. However, it still takes a bit of luck. Also, I beat it before the game hit 1.0, so I'm not sure if you have to do the new chapter as well to win now. That could make things even harder.

And yes it does require to finish the 4th chapter, i did it yesterday.
