[tips] Bosses?
So I'm hopeless at all the boss encounters. I rarely have any decent amount of health by the time I reach them. Their attacks all seem to spew through everything (wall, floors, there's no safe spots).

I've tried on some bosses finding some sort of pattern in their projectile attacks but so far I don't see a pattern. Other than me getting eviscerated, charcoal broiled or poisoned to death in a few seconds. :D

Maybe somebody has a successful boss encounter video they can share? As it stands, I don't feel I'll ever complete even the first comic book.

Yeah you're right, there are no safe spots and no predictible attack patterns. You just need to adapt to current situation and dodge the projectiles. In boss fights dashing is probably the most important, you need to move all the time while shooting at the boss. There's some YouTube videos that can help you out: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query="badass+hero" , in this one there's a full playthrough of first two comic books: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMdc7Gfui4o

Make sure you invest some points into survival and heroic skills - health drop chance and combo shields are extremely important here. Also, you if you're feeling too frustrated by the game, you can switch to Easy mode anytime and switch back to Normal when you'll feel ready - all hero progress is kept between those two modes.

fwiw, I beat a boss last night. Then i died in the next room. Yay? :steamfacepalm:

For me the real key seems to be to reach the first boss encounter with as close to full health as possible. :)

Think I may just reset my character and focus solely on survivability/health stuff.

You don't need to reset the character, you can just take back any skill points you spent by right-clicking the skill buttons :-).
