I am trying to get passed the monastery library but when i put the mammoth stained glass in the window and when i click the 4 plates (down, left up, right) it will not project the eye across the library like it should. has anyone seen this glitch and how can i get around it?

It seems that I've run into the same bug. Window wont focus and project the mammoth on the other side of the library like it supposed to do, but instead I would see a very breaf shot of the place where it should be projecting onto. When repeating the procedure with four window leaves the shot is shown even quicker - first time I couldn't even figure out what exact spot in the lib game was trying to show me. The area where eye should be projecting onto is inactive as well.
After a couple of game reinstallations and steam restarts the bug still remained.

If anyone else runs into this error and/or finds a solution, please respond to this thread.

I'm having the same issue. Like 1yynx, I get a flash of the opposite wall, where the mammoth image should be projected, but instead there's just a slight darkening of the area where the mammoth's eye should be. What's worse, that area is inactive so I can't move ahead.

Pretty disheartening that this still hasn't been addressed.

Same issue for me. Have tried from autosave point (right before candle-lighting puzzle) several times - no change. I have the Mac version of the game.
Very frustrating as this is still relatively early on in the game, and now I'm completely stuck. I've just noticed people online complaining about this glitch from over a year ago - why has this not been fixed/addressed and why is Steam still selling it if there is such a game-stopping glitch??

I FIXED THE GLITCH YOU GUYS.

I tried again from the candle-lighting puzzle, put stained glass mammoth over window, pushed panels in order every walkthrough indicates (bottom, left, top, right) and let the same glitch happen.

Then I pushed panels in a different order - top, right, bottom, left - and mammoth image FINALLY projects across the room. Game is now continuing as normal. The walkthrough correct order does not apply if you're experiencing same issues.
I'm assuming this may be a mac-related glitch. So spread the word.

Thank you amymac, the fix worked flawlessly on my machine.

OMG amymac you rock! Thank you! I wonder if they changed the solution for us Mac users just to be ornery.

Thank you so much, amymac! I was really close to giving up after encountering that glitch and struggling with it for days. I'm so glad I found your post.

Hay guys! So I have the version for PS3, and guess what? I have the very same glitch! But fear not!!! Amymac's suggested fix actually worked!!! Surprise surprise!!! Thank you! Spread the word that it will work for those who have the PS3 version. Let the games...continue!!!

Thanks “anymac” !!! You are the best. I was just about to give up on Syberia II after investing many hours with this delightful game. You should think about making your own Walkthrough since you are clearly clever enough. (No pressure, ha!)

I just wanted to say that what worked for me was bottom, left, top, right and not top, right, bottom, left. Playing on the GOG PC version.
