To get the Blue Helena recipe, I need to converse with Helena on all topics. But the game will not provide me a way to do that. (Windows 10)

Thanks that helped. The problem is that my version of the game is slightly different and will not let me use the dialog box. I click and nothing happens. I have downloaded and played on a newer computer and the same thing happens. Helena just dismisses me and no dialog is available.

This sometimes happens if some prerequisite has not been achieved. For example, the program might require that you have the crystal glass in inventory before proceeding. Also, the phone number to the hotel in Paris may have been missed. Another thing required is the bottle of vodka from the drunk baron's office in the Cosmodrome without which the Blue Helena can't be made. Mind you, I'm not sure about these as being required but the principle is the same. Watching the video walkthrough from the time Kate got to Aralbad to that point in the bar and checking that you did everything that might be required might get you going.

If you have done everything you might try some of the things in this guide, especially the file integrity check.
