Is it possible to play this game without the windows cursor appearing?

Got it running in windowed mode by making a .ini file in the games folder with an 800x600 resolution. But when I move my cursor on the screen it shows the windows cursor on top of the game's cursor. It really breaks the immersion, and it just gets in the way of the game cursor so I can't tell what I can interact with most of the time. Is there a way around this?

i got the game yesterday/bought the bundle for $8 pretty good price for 7 games esp since full price is $60:)
I was faced with all sorts of problems
this works for windows 8.1 maybe it work for windows 7 and 10:)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Syberia
find game.exe send a shortcut to desktop
right click on the shortcut properties
compat mode for win 95
disable hi dpi setting
8 bit colours
640x480 res
administrator
before i got the game to work i started syberia.exe and it started harry potter instead
3 times it did that=i wanna play syberia not harry potter
oh well it works now
AMD hd 7770 on win 8.1 game runs fine
do not alt tab or half the screen disappear
alt f4 to exit theres no quit button
game saves work fine
usually pretty easy to get old games to run/kinda the same as forcing myst masterpiece edition to work or sierra lighthouse the dark being/kings quest 7:)

use the game.exe shortcut to start syberia on desktop not the steam play button otherwise ya cant see the game:)

that will get rid of the windows mouse arrow and it run in fullscreen

syberia also works in wine and crossover on my old macbook in full colour mode/fullscreen
used my old syberia collectors edition box set on macbook
