Point and click games like Syberia
I finished Syberia recently. Can you suggest me any other point and click story rich games like it?

if you just want to get into point-and-clicks in general, any of these from the golden age of sierra's point-and-click games: police quest; space quest; king's quest; laura bow; gabriel knight; and quest for glory.
keep in mind all these series have a bunch of games in them so if you're really in it for the long hault, take your pick. they're all different in their own ways but my heart holds a special place for king's quest due to it being the first point-and-click I ever played. gabriel knight comes in close second because I love murder mysteries (plus tim curry is in it! who doesnt like tim curry???)

lucasarts has its own share of amazing games in the genre. the monkey island series is one; you've also got sam and max; lastly, you've also got the indiana jones series. grim fandango is an absolute classic. if you haven't played it yet, definitely go for that one as a must--gog has a windows 7/10 updated version, I believe.

for lucasarts, the gem that holds a special place in my heart is the dig. it wasn't a commercial success and kind of flew under the radar considering the amount of talent put behind it. the few puzzles in it are absolutely mind-breaking due to their difficulties. I didn't finish this game until I was an adult. 9-year old me just gave up. but, I love the story due to my love of space and aliens so if that's up your alley, give it a go. it's also a beautiful game in pixel art standards.

sorry if i went on a rant there and you weren't interested in the rest lol. older point-and-clicks are way different than modern ones so have fun!

@Magick_Lady thanks for your suggestions. To be honest I've had a little experience with The Longest Journey. I played the demo and I really want to get this game.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thanks for you suggestions. I'm been looking forward to buy and play games such as Dreamfall, The Longest Journey, Monkey Island, Grim Fandago and Day Of The Tendacle.
As for your last quote, I have to ask: Have you played Thimbleweed Park? This game came out a few months ago and as I've heard it's following the old school point and click formula.

no, I haven't played that game but it's on my list! I've heard nothing but amazing reviews so I'm gonna have to get it when I have the money to.

did you know the first king's quest actually got a reboot? it's interesting to see point-and-clicks haven't been forgotten.

Yeah, the first part of King's Quest is actually free. I'm gonna check it out.
Point and click games definitely haven't been forgoten. And maybe they're gonna be supported even more now that we've got consoles such as the Switch, which already has Thimbleweed Park on the games lineup and it's gonna have Syberia this month.

Maybe also have a look at "Duke Grabowski, Mighty Swashbuckler" (reminds strongly of the Monkey Island games) and "The Journey Down".

I haven't played all of the adventure games out there, but some of the classics are the Secret of Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, the Curse of Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, King's Quest 5, King's Quest 6, King's Quest 7, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, and Broken Sword.

I've got some other reviews for some new games as well. Sadly, I did not like Duke Grabowski at all. And King's Quest 9 is pretty terrible to me (you should try out the first Chapter though, since it is free). The Journey Down: Part 1 did alright as a small company. As well as Order of the Thorne. Not spectacular, but pretty solid games.

Good suggestions. I also want to check some other games that you've reviewed, like the Blackwell series for example.

The series is definitely a good one as it is very cheap. It is less point and click than most and definitely can take some getting used to the style, but I didn't ever regret playing the series.

I'll throw my suggestion in the ring. A lot of the options given are great (LucasArts, Longest Journey, Broken Sword) but no one has mentioned Amerzone. Amerzone is the first point and click adventure Benoit Sokal made and it is in the Syberia universe. In fact, the Amerzone expedition is mentioned in the first Syberia game, so it really should be played. Plus its not expensive!

To be honest, after I played Black Mirror 2 and Black Mirror 3 I can say that I like them more than Syberia. They've got the same gameplay, but it's a bit more story oriented and more interesting in my opinion. Black Mirror 1, however, I don't like. It's too eerie to my liking and you can die out of nowhere. In Black Mirror 2 and 3 it's clear when you've got to save in case you can't be quick enough or you pick the wrong option.

Dark fall , black mirror barrow Hill.. And theres 3 of every game,... especially black mirror i liked a lot.. They are similar to Syberia..
