grass has no texture under it

how can i fix this bug? as the soil improves around my lakes, grass is spreading. however it's just a giant reflective surface underneath, as if they were a giant dumping site. it's so gd ugly and distracting

Have you tried to verify game's files already? Otherwise ChoGGi probably made a mod to fix it, check the Steam workshop.

Maybe this one below? I suppose you are on Mac.

i am, thank you! i saw on another forum that this has been an issue for macs for several years. i don't know how to verify the game's files (i'll look it up) but the mod is my last resort just in case it causes other issues

And you are lucky it still run on Mac OS, it broke down for several users after an OS update.

To verify game's files, from your Steam Library right click the game and select Properties, then Installed Files and there you will find a Verify button, click on it and wait until it finishes.

Probably won't change nothing for your specific case but it is worth remembering it for any game that may incur in strange issues : ) I hope the mod is still working (make a separate save just in case). ^^'
