.. this whole trend to have in-game Mod Managers from the Developer is just plain idiotic without adequate mod support and ensuring a "clean wipe" for returning players .. Anno 1800 did something very similar when they decided to have their own Mod Manager too .. but they did managed to update/fix the Mod Manager to allow players to "un-screw" the mods list .. then again, they actually work with modders and still had a very active player base and mod-author pool ..
.. even sadder, this was one of the last Paradox games I even wanted to play .. look like I'll just uninstall and then delete "all things Paradox" from my PC ..
.. that was a path and files I had deleted off my computer previously and Paradox was kind enough to restore .. damn shame they couldn't have restored the path/file structure without the mods ..
.. fwiw .. those were manually installed mods from "back in the day" .. it's not a file path/structure used by Steam Workshop (for those who may not know) ..
edit/update: Unfortunately Paradox reloads them every time you start the game .. so manually deleting them from the folder/path does no good .. sigh .. this is quickly becoming more trouble than it's worth ..
