RimWorld is infinitely better than Planetbase definitely. Planetbase was far too restrictive and the AI were dumb as bricks. Even the dumb AI in RimWorld can be made up for being able to manually give them priority tasks.
but on other hand on end of the day its people who play games and reguardless of some people tell you best way to tell if people liked the game is rewiews
if you go this route planet base seams not bad with 76% rewiews (this game has 71%)
my nitpick on this game is lots interface is counter intuative and lots things dont make that much sense
Example can be filter when picking new colonists from earth(whos pain , time consuming and not inuative at all , and handpicking is annoying , i played with filter but never managed to make it work as good as id like)
instead of "banning traits" would be better if 1 click of button would make "i want to see these 3 geniuses" rather then "i need to ban everything and hope lists get small enough for me to find them"
Game is good but needs some UI/interface rework (can bringup examples like factorio where they completly made new UI and game got 10 times better)
