My experience so far, having just started, I put an infirmary, small spacebar, and gym into my first dome, along with a housing complex and nursery. Even with all that, only one of the women were comfortable enough to have kids(along with 6 men who were interested). Not sure if that one happy woman had the Sexy trait, though a few of the female colonists certainly did, as did some of the men. Still took about 9-10 sols before a child was born; the Founding period had nearly expired on its own.
Once you get them comfortable you'll quickly find that this game's true fault lies in rampant overpopulation.. they'll start having kids and won't stop until they're drowning in their own offspring and every dome is overpopulated until everyone is too uncomfortable to reproduce anymore.
