Oceans of water, but Hydroponics Farm isn't happy.
Are the domes capped at a max water use number, regardless of seas of water I have outside?
Or Bugged?
Or some other Voodoo left out of tutorial?

No, for some reason this Hydroponics Farm is not connected to the water grid. Try turning it off and on again. If that doesn't help, salvage and rebuild it. Before that, please send an in-game bug report with a savegame (Ctrl + F1). Thank you!

I posted this in another thread, but ive tried turning it off, rebuilding it, attaching water supply to multiple points of the dome, turning everything else off (except hydroponics and 1 house with botanists) and demo'ing everything cept the two aforementioned.

Will do a bug report and call it there.

Thank for confirming how it ought to be.

Your overall water production is negative. Is it possible that you have a bunch of pipe leaks somewhere and this is not visible in this panel?

Not sure my overall production is negative. 2nd screenshot clearly show my max production is almost 4 times my current production and 1st screenshot !Attention note clearly says they wells are barely working hard because there is no need, yet the hydroponics farm is w/o water.

There are 4 wells on one water node that are upgraded once (hence the screenshot that says "only producing 1, could produce 5, but not enough demand". In trying to figure this out, I have pipelines coming from the water nodes west, south, and east and all of those lines attaching to the dome at different point (pipe connection points for dome). 2 of those three are new constructions (so unlikely phantom leaks). Moreover, I have two 1000 water tanks that just sit there full, those tanks are attached to the water lines and the dome. When I put a third water tank at the end of one of the pipelines, to see if it would fill up (as a test to see if there was a phantom bug in the water line) if filled up just fine, so the dome shouldnt be having issues via production and transportation.

The only thing using water (off the top of my head) are 2 polymer and 2 fuel refine and 2 moxie. Only the moxies are on the same line as the main water supply (the fuel and polymer are on their own nodes, closed systems not connected to anything else).

Even when I put my first and only water vapor thingy down next to the dome and attached it, nothing about the dome's water changed and nothing with hydroponics changed (as if the moisture capturing water thingy added nothing).

Seems pretty bug like to me, and if not, seems like something that should be in the ? screen, or show up in tooltip, or maybe tutorial because if there is a mechanic at play that can make sense of this result, the idea that "you're water production is negative" and "your water pumps aren't working hard because there is no demand" are mutually exclusive concepts (one of the other, can't be both).

Cheers!

I popped in and took some more screenshots of me clicking on pipes, tooltips of reserves and you can see the pipes attached and all that (tanks too), if your interested in looking into it (submitted the bug report like you asked too, though with an earlier save then these screenshots. I've been letting things to go hell because I was only interested in figuring out this water problem.

I'm going to unsubscribe to the thread. Thanks for trying and best of luck with the game/bug hunt.

Bugged - Hydroponic Farm

For some reason the hydroponic farm is not getting water.

There is plenty of water as you can see.

I tried a bug report but the sending failed.

Same Problem still exist. Surplus on waterproduction and water resserves (not frozen). Still Farm stop working the moment a second Dome was added to the Grid.

You exceeded the maximum output flow of the grid. Add more tanks or sources.

I was able to get this bug to go away by:
1. Salvage the hydroponic farm and wait for it to completely go away.
2. Save the game.
3. Exit and reload the game.
4. Build a new hydroponic farm.

Hopefully this will work for you too.

It might. Though for some reason I doubt he has been waiting almost 2 years for a reply.
