Sinkhole / dealing with it

Hello,
Since it was the first time I got this event it didn't ended well. I have a bunch of sinkhole surrounding my building, and I don't know how to deal with it.
-I took the energy choice, not the science
-They draw too much water each night, people take sanity hit and leave/suicide each day (and I only have about one hundred people)
-I tried to destroying every pipe nearby, only using dome connection and building further away 22 vaporator (since both water gisement are out no with the related service, but they still reach the pipe anyway
-The energy I gain from it it worthless sadly. Not worth the cost since I can make the infinite stirling generator & I have the wonder (was unlocked with the event)


Question :
Is there ANY way to deal with this ? it looks like they don't have any limit on how much they draw, the sanity hit is a big problem.

It depends on where you are techwise, but are you using water extractors in combination with water tanks? That solved the issue for me. I chose science and they stopped coming at some point and my issue is being left with sinkholes all over the place. They should let you fill them at some point especially if you choose the path where they do not actually do anything anymore.

Since the basic ressources were out I decided to make a cluster of breaktrough dome and left everything here, I couldn't place any dome because of how they spread.

Yeah I noticed after a while : they do stop, and if you setup one tank they tend to gather around so it's best to remove all but one tank you place somewhere you don't want to be bothered.

I lost tons of people and hd tons of problem because I couldn't get enough water since there wasn't any water left around me, and I didn't got the water evaporator tech. Blueprint cost too much at this point.

Would be lovely to fill them at some point, even if it's with a mod.
