Maybe a mod conflict? There were some bug fixes patched in today. I also don't have the B&B DLC, so maybe something related to that.
Yes, you just unsubscribe from it in the workshop. A colony logo should not cause a crash though.
Like most Mac applications, it isn't supported as a native ARM application, but it runs under the Mac Rosetta emulator.
