there are achievements, but apparently you cannot get them, because there is no "end"

anyone able to get the achievies? or is it not reachable?

They do end, all mysteries end, some of them you can fail, others not.
Marsgate and Wildfire you can both fail.

Marsgate ends with the following
A large scale attack on your base which you must defend againt using turrets etc. They can send alot of rovers so you can fail if your base is destroyed. Once you fight off all the rovers you'll get a message about the mystery being over.

Wildfire with the following
Curing the disease on Earth, you need to send enough wildfire cure to save Earth, you can fail if you don't and you let Earth die.

Perhaps you are just not waiting long enough for the next stages of the mysteries to start?

i got wildfire actually, but read in threads that you don't get the achievement for marsgate, i didnt wanna start a new map if it couldn't get the achievy

Well I have it? What threads are saying you can't get it?

Like I said you can fail it, I think there are dialog choices that also mean you can kind of cancel it and fail, but I got it no problem first time I played it.
