Second Drone Hub
Can someone tell me how to build a second drone hub? The water is to far from the base and I didn't find the water until after I set up base. Also, Do I need just want one pipe to dome or one for water and one for air?

You either research the Drone hub tech, or you import it from earth. It can be you need more then one if the water depot is far.
Make sure the drone hubs influences overlap, or sent a constructor to build the faraway drone hub. Also place an universal depot or two/three on a zone where the drone hubs overlap, so the drones can transport resources for construction.

One for both

You just make the second drone hub at the outskirt of the range of the first one but within range !

To build any building outside drone hub range you use the RC Controller vehicle. And make sure you build a Universal Depot in range of it and make sure you move the construction supplies on to it.

I was able to build more drone hubs. Thank everyone for their help. Any tips on how to get into a tall mountain to research more tech? It's very tall and I seem to not be able to build a ramp.

Ramps are on the Landscaping category of the build menu. Alternatively you can build a tunnel - place one end at the bottom and the other at the top. Tunnels have a range limit, but not an elevation limit.

You may need to make the ramp in a few steps. Most all maps -- that "I" have seen anyway -- have a place where a ramp WILL work -- but sometimes ONLY one spot, not necessarily where you would like it. You need a flat area to start from though and the ramp might be VERY long depending on your terrain. I suggest making the ramp as narrow as it can be as ramps often take a long time to build unless you have a lot of drones available to work.

Alternately you can just let the shuttles handle the movement of goods and try and keep all supplies stable in the new area. This works fine later on in the game. Tricky at the beginning unless you have a LOT of resources and money at your disposal.

In my game I 'always' used tunnels instead of ramps for high altitude differences.
In some cases though I can imagine that ramps may work , especially if one paves the way prior with some well thought landscaping. But, in my opinion then one needs to use the landscaping tool all the time in Surviving Mars , at least if one wants to do oneself a favor  :lunar2019coolpig:
Come to think of it then I really liked the landscaping tool back when I used to play the game I just never thought much about it :ooh: :hmm:

The ramp wouldn't work because of how tall it was.

Tunnels are a good idea. I never thought of that. Thanks a bunch

Well, when that's the case you usually just have to make it longer. If you start from the top and ramp down, usually you can eventually find a valid configuration, but sometimes the required length makes it a bit absurd, and can take up a lot of what could have been usable building space. I think tunnels are generally a better option, but ramps can be much cheaper early game, since at most they cost waste rock, assuming they don't produce any.

I after two more tries I was finally able to put a ramp so I decided to just build that. Thanks for the help.
