Make sure the drone hubs influences overlap, or sent a constructor to build the faraway drone hub. Also place an universal depot or two/three on a zone where the drone hubs overlap, so the drones can transport resources for construction.
You just make the second drone hub at the outskirt of the range of the first one but within range !
Alternately you can just let the shuttles handle the movement of goods and try and keep all supplies stable in the new area. This works fine later on in the game. Tricky at the beginning unless you have a LOT of resources and money at your disposal.
In some cases though I can imagine that ramps may work , especially if one paves the way prior with some well thought landscaping. But, in my opinion then one needs to use the landscaping tool all the time in Surviving Mars , at least if one wants to do oneself a favor
Come to think of it then I really liked the landscaping tool back when I used to play the game I just never thought much about it
