Stuck on the Tutorial

I keep getting stuck on the tutorial.

I get as far as the scanning new sectors part, and then the tutorial says to scan the anomaly and gives you a spiel about anomalies unlocking new research. Then its says something about opening the research panel and doing something. But at this point the tutorial text seems to disappear and try as i might I can;t find the research panel, or get the guidance back to find out how and what to do.

Doubly annoying because I then have to start the whole RC guide section again just to get back to the point I lost the plot.

We're so far unable to reproduce this and see no other reports of it, so please attach a log from a game session when you experienced this issue. Logs can be found at ~AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\logs. I hope that we'll be able to see what's the problem and resolve it.

Exactly same problem here.
My log is only 60 lines long and doesn`t have anything that seems relevant.

Edit:
Tried the mission again and it worked fine.

I actually took a screenshot when the bug happened. Do notice the lack of many interface elements, just like Didz's.

Yeah! It turned out that I was missing the menu bar at the bottom of the screen. Not sure why, but on the third play through it appeared and I was able to complete the tutorial.

Argh, same issue, third time through and still losing menu bar at bottom of the screen.

Yeah! Not sure whats causing it, or what solves it.
