I kinda thought marsgate was fun.
Finally killed all EsoCorp Rovers all got rid of all this. No more invaders, there are only two waves.
Should never have helped them OR built a ton of grouped Towers. Now trying to improve my Colonies after a huge repair campaign. Now at 300 colonists in 6 domes and trying to understand the whole game mechanics.
Other problems also ruin the game like Colonist going to random jobs instead of their specialization, or trying to move to another dome.... on feet. And dying miserably outside, of suffocation.
For me they(aso😂 corp) are good money for me bases...
I thought they meant stargate.
but it is more related to watergate.
And if you respond appropriately(including swallowing your own moral), they reward you handsomely
Literally just dropped a single rocket launcher at each outpost and ignored it after that. Now I own a bunch of rocket rovers and have meteorite defense everywhere, easy win.
The rockets are like, 5 electronics each? And you get more than that from the rovers after you break them, the game is just giving you free meteor defense.
As they destroyed Towers several times, it means they destroyed something like 60 buildings....
Honestly, it could of ended far worse then it did. Sometimes the best way to defend mars is to not be the hero.
A couple of their missiles hit a dome though. That was... challenging. Luckily it was the dome where i stored my senior citizens. If it had hit one of my main domes, the mission would have been over.
Yup! the wuss(me) here gets a pay check(500m each repair) for repairing aso drones..
Still running my colony with now 450 colonists. Still have some incredible logicstics and social surprises.
The worst was a massive logistics nightmare.
- Hadn't noticed there was not enough fuel generated because of polymer factories openings.
- This fuel also fuels the resources / colonists shuttles
- I unlock a success and obtain 3 full Space Shuttles full of qualified colonists. Immediately make them come.
- 3 Space Shuttles land and drones start to refuel them.
- No more fuel for the resources / colonists shuttles
- Massive resources breakdown on electronics, metal and polymer : everything collapses.
- Electronics factories close, can't repair droner centers or factories themselves.
- Energy generators failures leads to massive electrical shutdown.
- Full situation analysis in "what happens really" mode.
- Lowered Space Shuttles refuels to Very Slow.
- Manually fixed and refilled drone and shuttle centers using land transports / rovers.
- Fixed energy generators and factories
- Everything comes back to normal...
But added a LOT of fuel factories and changed some Resources Deposits locations.
Need more Land Transports and Drones Rovers, because without them, you're done !
Still get a lot of things to do during this 37 hours game. Not met bugs but colonists behaviour is still a big mystery !
Btw, you will need to fight esocorp regardlessly...
but the fight is not as hard as imagine...
But I found a way to overpass these resource finitenesses using another thing. My colony is now 2000 people and still growing, trying to make it eternal but it's rather hard.
@Annothek The defense is given by researches. They allow you to build turrets. But you'll have to build a LOT of turrets, because I only did 3 or 4, and it was way too few. Prepare for the worst !
found another way but it literally become ideally pointless when you had eventually reach that that point... yes a conjunction use of both research martian copyrights and space elevator. should be able to up the metal import to 80 metals per lift(but I strongly doubt that is enough).
Oddly, I actually think they preferred overcrowded domes...not that I have a problem with that.
They did destroy every vehicle in my inventory and a bunch of my infrastructure. I had to cannibalize a lot of my base's builds to get going again and it was painfully slow coming back. But that is part of the challenge of playing the game. It is the give and take that some things are gonna want to ruin your day.
