Keep in mind though that restarting the map keeps the same seed created for breaksthroughs and the same tech tree. Although techs can vary the order and speed due to anomalies.
Randomness in Tech is my biggest gripe about the game TBH.
And this very tech is a prime example on why.
The game becomes indefinitly easier if you get it. Saw Skye Storms first playtrough on almost 500% difficulty. He had almost nothing to begin with and struggeled. Then he got this and the colonie exploded at a pace i can not imagine at all.
It is so easy to just plaster the map mit extractors, have shuttles fly the resources where needed and use all of those colonists for something more productive (that also does not lower comfort most of the time).
So many breaktroughs are "nice", some are just really useless or really gamechanging.
Having luck decide a playtrough like that is kinda offputting. Some randomness, yeah i get it. But not random as in "it makes your almost unbeatable game into a cakewalk!"
Really it is very anoing to have to build working places so close to domes.
How about transportation? Tunnels? Automation sure a great option.
Why can I harvest concrete but not metals without human workhand?
All extractors and factories should be automated but the ones inside the Domes.
Adding human workers to it could improve the production.
I miss more kinds of factories and manufacturing process that can use and transformete materials.
