How do I get stored food to my domes?

I've got plenty of food in storage, but for some reason the colonists aren't accessing it. I can load the food in the rover, but it can't unload in the dome. Anyone know what to do about this?

My guess is it's too far from the dome. You might try putting food stockpiles right next to one of the airlocks, and making sure they're supplied.

I should mention that I've only ever seen a colonist grab food himself once. Typically a dome is supposed to have food services, either a diner or a grocer (or both). If you have those structures in your dome, they'll be automatically supplied by whatever drones are in the area.

What skatche said, and you need to make sure that there are drones that can access both your dome and your food stash, or they wont be able to deliver to the diner or grocer.

You use the food respurce pile, it gets taken inside and distributed via grocer or diner.

Ahhhh. Okay, thank you three very much. I'll combine both having a food depot right by the airlock and also installing a diner food thingy.

I wouldnt suggest a food storage per say. Much better to place a universal storage next the dome. As drones will refill it with available resorces from specialized storage plots within range.

the food is raw. you need at least a grocery store. a diner is good too.

I'd suggest you look at your drone situation nearby. If your food production has excess they shoudl come get it for the supply drop. If they need food, the drones shoudl bring it to the grocer etc.
