moving drones from one hub to another
do you need to click on the drones to move them to another hub or from a ship to a hub

click the drone then CLICK the reassign button i think its called. then left click i think on the NEW hub or rover. u know it works if u select the new rover or hub and it will show the drone with a blue arrow meaning it belongs to the selected hub/rover.

Is there no better way to do this? the number of drones get very high very fast, and it's beyond tedious to do them one by one :D

There's a Dismantle Drone button in each Drone Hub. It converts 1 Drone into 1 Drone prefab.
There's a Construct Drone button. It consumes 1 Drone prefab to construct 1 Drone.

Feel free to spam those.

Problem with reassigning drones starts when you want to reassign drones to rovers not hubs themselves [or from rocket] while it is possible to launch without losing drones it takes time to initialy prepare rocket to GTFO out of area.

Assigning drones from one controller (rocket / rover) to DroneHub is a hell. Can't even select a bunch of. Really in 2018? Starcraft has! Nor a button for reassign all from one to another.
Micro is not fun, boring and time consumption!

I'd love a "select all drones" function from any building/vehicle that controls them, so I could mass assign them. That would be simply wonderful.

A standard "drag box around multiple things to select them" is really missed and should be a basic function.

I'd like to see the drone be able to go from one hub to the next, as long as there's uninterrupted control range.

Think it through....

So what happens when all your drones end up on one side of the map and none on the other?

You can "Reassign All" without doing them one by one. The only downside is I wish you could select an amount you would like to send, because you either send them all or one by one.

Well, you could prefab any excess drones then unpack them at another hub. Its only a few clicks. In fact, they added that feature just so you could shuffle your drones easily. Of course, none of these suggestions existed when this topic was started.

Use a rover as an intermediary. 8 to 20 drones per transfer then. Or use the mod that dynamically reassigns drones based on workload.
