Gasp! The Ice Wall[wiki.tfes.org] is REAL!
Depending on how you look at it, there are some "good" (or at least, neutral) outcomes. The thing is, when you get this event the colonist who becomes the leader of the flat mars society gains the traits "Guru" and "♥♥♥♥♥". Guru means that he spreads his other traits (including ♥♥♥♥♥) to other colonists in his dome. So any outcome where he dies halts the spread of the ♥♥♥♥♥ disease (assuming he hasn't infected another Guru). I'm pretty sure letting them all fly means that all the idiots in your colony also die, which means you don't have the 10% chance of malfunctioning buildings. Though I expect that you lose 2 applicants from the pool per death.
