Holographic Scanning and connected domes

So the Holographic Scanning upgrade for the medical spire says it boosts birth rates in the dome with the spire, but what I have a pure residential dome that is connected to my work dome with the medical spire via a passage, do I still get the boost in birth rate or only if the spire is in my residential dome?

Spires with dome-wide effects only proc that effect to the dome they are in. Passages have no effect, they would simply allow a colonist to use a spire if it had an associated service. So they could use the medical spire for it's medical checkup service, that is all.

Ericus1 is correct .. No you do not get the boost to birthrate in connected domes.
Only people that live in dome get that boost.
