150m doesnt sounds this bad... adds funding and you can keep all your rare metals for your self.
I haven't actually completed it yet though, the time I accepted I just parked their rocket out in the middle of nowhere and ignored it for the next 100 sols, it did no harm. But I didn't continue that game so I don't know what happens when you continue on with the event chain.
"(...) the ten richest customers of Eternal Summer have paid for a rocket to host their cryopods."
You are not being ripped off by socialists but by the 1%. Just like you were on earth. Some things never change :D
Right. Socialists wrote the game, so of course the 1% will rip you off instead of giving you a fair deal. Because of course they got rich by cheating their business partners…right…
Rip off is subjective. It doesnt matter if by socialists, or 1% (not my choice of words to describe people).
If you are swimming in electronics and machine parts, then you obviously dont care about the money either, and so its just another cool game mechanic.
As for young or early colonies, you could in effect setup tradepads and get these items from other colonies, then have these guys come and give $150M on a regular basis. Its called trade mercantilism.
I have not seen political ideologies forced on users in this game at all, so try and keep that out of discussions. (You know if there were any I would mod them right out for you.)
Well, except for the fact that all the radio stations except the instrumental one spout socialist ideology.
And sure, you could be swimming in electonics and machine parts, but as you said, if that's the case, you don't need the money. This is anything but a fair trade, made more obvious by the fact that you don't know the terms until you've accepted, and can't get out of it later. It's a socialist's vision of what free trade looks like.
One way to control it is via location location location.
Pick a spot to allow them to land away from your main stockpiles and drones. Maybe even have a hub next to the site and keep the drones disassembled. Then when they show up that’s when you let the drones loose but until drones can service the rocket it will just stay there waiting without negative affects.
Now the radio stations? I don’t know. I have turned on the stations after the first three months of playing. As cool as some of the music is, it gets old when you play as much as I did. So I just made my own stations locally with my music.
