Can't build Wind Turbines

Hey there, guys.
I'm fairly new to the game, so I'm still getting the hang of most things.
I recently started a new game, but at one point, something happened to my wind turbines and, I know, it was pretty dumb of me, I just gave it a quick glance and pressed 'continue', and now I can't build wind turbines anymore. There's a message like "you can't construct this building now".
What did I do that caused this problem?

hmm.. it could be an event similar to mine where it says the turbine technology isn't sufficient any more to cope with the dust.. there were a couple of options, one was ignore it and accept the extra maintainence cost and the other I can't remember but it involved researching the tech to cope with the dust so they would work properly again.

Yes, now that you said it, I remember something like that and I think I chose the option of extra maintenance cost. And about the research, I'm almost out of research options. I have a lot of research points, so I don't have any other that might help me with this (I already got the dust off from solar panels, but I don't see any other with the same purpose for wind turbines).

Oh.. you must be much further in the game than I have got! So I don't know really know this right now.. perhaps there is an event going on? I'm not sure! Someone will know though. o/

edit: I thought it was like polymer blades or something I.. not sure!

Yeah, I got that one already.. Don't know if it's a bug or something.. but let's hope that someone comes to the rescue!

I did only find a post on Paradox Forums[forum.paradoxplaza.com] which sounded like what happened to you, but they didn't say what was the exact solution, only that they did a research - but if you have done all that perhaps there's a buggle.. I dunno if it's worth posting on their forum as well to see, or have a dig around eh.

same things happening to me n my current game but i have a feeling it might be related to the mystery.

I think i have the same thing happening to me because I researched polymer blades in hopes that it would help but it didn't. im very confused. I got the event and I selected to give them maintnence and they continued to work but now whenever I want to build more wind turbines it says that this building is not available to build yet. I cant find which research they're talking about.

Yeah.. probably a bug then?
I strugled through it and, when I was able, got a TON of Stirling Generators then put some Fusion Reactors too.. because.. why not?
But either way, it's really a bummer because I was right next to an amazing position to make a nice wind farm.. but...

haha.. without realising it, I have the same "mystery" going on - I'm not playing this save any more because it turned in to a disaster, but yeah..

Whether it's a bug or not I don't know, but we all got the same message about dust, it sounds like and OK, you can accept to pay the additional maintainence on existing turbines but it appears to also preclude you from building more.. hmmmm!

The games are very complex systems to test. Believe it or not, the introduction of the game events in the Gagarun update made it even more scary to test. This bug exactly manifests itself in conditions which no QA or beta tester has ever imagined to try. Yes, maybe we could delay the release with one year to be sure we catched all of them bugs...

You have to research a "breakthrough" tech in the research panel on the right hand side. Had this problem but its just a research, turns out. :)
