Hello. I need to know how to translate the game into Italian.
I saw many files on steamworkshop
with translations into Korean etc.

could you tell me how to change them in Italian?

it would be nice to create n language files for us too

Ragazzi, c'è qualche novità al lavoro che state facendo? Vorrei provare a dare una mano anche io. Ho provato a scaricare il file che SkiRich ha indicato...ma già ho notato la prima difficoltà. Aprendolo in excell non vedo colonne...ma righe tutte in un'unica colonna. Va comunque bene?

Inoltre, visto che a quanto ho capito alcuni di voi hanno già iniziato a lavorarci, dove siete arrivati a tradurre le righe? Così evitiamo di perdere tempo a tradurre cose già fatte.

Dai Italiani...diamoci da fare...è un gioco bellissimo...perchè non farlo ancora più nostro? :)

Io ho un paio di settimane in cui posso lavorare alla traduzione anche 10 ore al giorno...credo che potrebbero bastare per finire il lavoro. Mi manca solo qualcuno che mi spiega bene cosa devo fare (non sono un programmatore)...

Check out Elmar's group, there shouldn't be any coding to do (assuming he's done the machine translating part of it).

I'm already in the group ... but I have not received an answer on that channel. I tried to contact him even with a private message, but nothing. He probably has no time. So, since I have just a couple of weeks in which I get bored and have a lot of free time, I would like to take the opportunity to try ... or help them in the work they are already doing!

I have already started the manual translation work. Let's see if I can finish this job. Surely it will not be perfect for several reasons:

1) I do not know English well so I still rely mainly on google translate;

2) I'm not a programmer and I'm afraid of translating programming strings that should not be translated ... so all the parts I'm not sure I leave in English;

3) Some sentences translate to intuition ...

In any case I prefer a game in an intaliano not perfect that not completely in English. It also arrives intuitively to things.

Il lavoro titanico di traduzione procede...e sempre più parti del gioco ora sono in Italiano. :)

Ci tenevo a far sapere a tutti che c'è un lavoro di traduzione che procede per dare anche agli italiani la possibilità di avere questo fantastico gioco nella propria lingua.

Le parti da tradurre sono mi sembra più di 10000 (17000 se non ricordo male)...e sto controllando e sistemando a mano una ad una ogni singola frase e parte di testo, poichè usare google Translate si è rivelato fallimentare perchè stravolge il senso di molte frasi. Il gioco inoltre presenta anche frasi scherzose che Google translate non capisce. :)

Sono tante le righe da tradurre...se qualcuno vorrà darmi una mano è ben accetto. Più persone ci si mettono sopra minore sarà il tempo che ci vorrà per realizzare la Mod.

Un grazie di cuore a ChoGGi e SkiRich che mi stanno aiutando con la parte tecnica della mod. Senza il loro aiuto non avrei mai potuto iniziare questo lavoro.

The titanic work of translation proceeds ... and more and more parts of the game are now in Italian. :)

I wanted to let everyone know that there is a work of translation that proceeds to give Italians the chance to have this fantastic game in their own language.
 
The parts to be translated are more than 10,000 I think (17000 if I remember correctly) ... and I'm checking and arranging by hand one by one every sentence and part of text, because use google Translate has proved bankrupt because it distorts the sense of many sentences. The game also presents joking phrases that Google translate does not understand. :)

There are many lines to translate ... if someone wants to give me a hand is welcome. The more people you put on the smaller the time it will take to make the Mod.

A heartfelt thanks to ChoGGi and SkiRich who are helping me with the technical part of mod. Without their help I could never have started this job.

It's not yet complete ... but meanwhile translates a good 90% of the game, including tutorials ... so it's enough to enjoy the game. Now, slowly, complete and update from time to time.

Ah, finally a hero among the Italians has stepped up to the challenge. All those posts from all those Italians bitterly complaining they wont buy the game because Paradox does not have native Italian support but they refused to do any work to make it happen and You Jhon are the champion among them. Brilliant! You will get as much support from me and others as you need. Are you ready?

Download the csv file and open it in excel.
There are three columns, ID, Text, Translation.
Translate everything in column Text. Put the result in column Translation.

When translating, you must keep all the special characters, keywords and spaces exactly the same way as they are in the text Column.

Example:

This ...

<red>Chronic Condition <amount></red>

Would be this in Italian ...

<red>Condizione cronica <amount></red>

When you have that file fully translated, let me know, I can show you how to build the Italian Mod.
