Some of such games with "potential" develop into something great, others are just abandoned. And there is also a chance that development can go in a direction you do not like. So it is like buying a lottery ticket...
Paradox published the game... there will be DLCs dude, guaranteed lol
so right a review already dude... tell people to wait for a sale before dropping $40 on something you think isn't worth it... you're entitled to your opinion. Maybe some will share it, maybe some won't.

I think I did a fair job of sharing my opinion so far. Nobody actually read reviews much.
I have only myself to blame, I admit.

Just look at any game Paradox has published or developed/published. Practically all of those have DLCs, content that could have justified the sale price upon release. This is just how the gaming industry is evolving... if it's not DLCs its microtransactions through Crates or other similar methods.
People got burned a lot from Fallout 4 this way. Live and learn.
or rushed relased and "mods will fix it" or buy DLC and buidling skin packs .
Very cool game though. Mysteries are awesome.
But after mystery and that one breaking point there is no challange and obviouse no design for end game of this game. It feels rather like trying to keep up with child boom . Seriusly after mystery it feels like .. no design what to do next. Unemployment goes high along side with homless people and all that gets from unbalanded child boom. Those problems dont reall affect your colony. Just few peoeple feel bad but who cares about them freeloaders. Got their mouth full for nothin. Have to weit for some dlc or mods for end game . For now I recomend to weit and look at frostpunk. I will do that , right after I discover what all 9 mysteries is about ;)
Surviving Mars has serious gameplay issues (that they are supposedly working on fixing) but has more replayability.
Startopia - is currently much more fun to play, (Except the combat which is horrible... but only shows up in the last few missions) and is more like the dungeon keeper games.
