Yes it does.
And no - You're not going to be able to download mods from the Workshop without a Steam copy of the game.
I do not have the "Mod Manager" Menu entry in the main menu.

I actually tried that. I tried the following directories:
/mnt/MainData/Games/SurvivingMars/game/mods
/mnt/MainData/Games/SurvivingMars/mods
/home/mydayyy/.local/share/Surviving Mars/mods
None of the mods folder existed before, I had to create all of them
Thanks anyways! Man this is really really bad design. Usually the Mod Manager should show up regardless of whether mods are installed or not. And there should be a button to open the folder of the mod location. This is just really terrible ux design right here. I am basically playing guess the location here.
Mod Editor is not available on linux, can't do that either unfortunately
