Easier search for buildings
Sometimes I'm looking for particular buildings - especially when I want to upgrade certain buildings (but can't afford to control click and upgrade ALL of them), and it would be nice to be able to right-click buildings in the build-menu and have the screen center on one of those particular buildings (and quite possibly select it too). Several right clicks could then cycle between buildings. Another thing that could be nice, would be a "next" button on buildings, so you can cycle through the selected building (like you can with colonists).

Also, as a side-note, it certainly would be lovely with a way to find certain colonists by trait or by filtered parameter. All in all, better ledger/filter options to search for and see where and what kind of colonists you have, would be nice.

As a last thing, with the "Dreamer" mystery, it would be nice if the Dreamer trait actually showed up on either the "Perks", "Flaws" or "Special Traits" list. Right now, the mystery wants me to educate more dreamers, but I have absolutely no clue how many of them I have, without manually finding each of my 704 colonists and checking them individually.

While maybe not a complete solution to your problem, you can pin a building to the hotbar. I do this to keep an eye on manning of a factory for example. This useful if you need to bounce back and forth between domes, particularly if they are far apart. Moving a colonist? Pin to the hotbar, jump locations, assign, unpin.

The problem with pinning particular buildings on the hotbar is, that I already have so many things pinned. I find it very useful to keep tabs on my Domes, my Drone Hubs and my vehicles, and by SOL 100 there's maybe 15+ pinned objects down there already. But it's definitely an option

Agree that the hotbar can get cluttered, having suffered the same. Hopefully we can get better colonist management tools, like being able to sort the unemployed list by specialty, or they change the system to require less micro by the player.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I was looking for a solution to this very thing. I figured it out on my own but I thought I'd answer you anyway.

Pick one building, and then hover over the change you want to do (e.g. all forestation planters plant bushes as type 3). When you click it, hold Ctrl. It should change it for all forestation planters.

Upgrades are bit different. Go to Command Centre and and click 'Buildings' on the left. Filter for your building type and then either click "Shifts" so you can control the building shifts or "Effects" to do the necessary upgrades.

Lastly, when it comes to creating more shuttles or creating and allocating more drones, go Command Centre, Transportation, voila. This screen also tells you at a glance what Hubs are dealing with heavy workloads so you can allocate accordingly.

Hope that helps, and if it's too late for you, hopefully someone else will google this question and find this answer.
