How to cancel build orders

Hello-
How do you cancel a build order? Maybe I issued the order by mistake, or in the wrong place, or I simply changed my mind. A drone has not started building yet.

Salvage tool

The salvage tool was greyed-out. Maybe that's because I was in the tutorial.

Selecting the unbuilt building and the delete key will work too.

I tried that, and it didn't work. I think it was probably because I was in a tutorial. Something for the devs to note...

Yea, I've finished the tutorials and started an easy game. Now I can cancel orders before projects are started by clicking on "salvage" or the delete key. So I guess it is some kind of quirk of the tutorials.

No you can always salvage. The thing you need to research is the ability to clean up the remains.

Yes at one point I almost failed the game because of that. I wanted to move from two hydro farms to a single regular farm and after i salvaged it I found out I could not get rid of the remains. But salvage does not give a full resource refund...

To cancel before it's fully built, just hit Delete. If built, you need to knock it down, salvage it, after researching salvage.
To cancel build queue'd items, just hit the minus key to reduce number of items in queue.
