Endless toxic rain
It seems that my colony is suffering from an endless onslaught of toxic rain. It has gone on for more Sols than I care to count and will not stop. Not even getting the planet's terraforming levels high enough to end toxic rain permanently seems to fix this. I got both levels to the required 55%, the rains stopped for all of a second before they continued and went right back into the endless state. While I've been able to continue the colony regardless of this setback, it does pose a huge issue with trying to spread the vegetation as in it becomes impossible. Any help would be great as I'd rather not start the colony over entirely.

Hi, Thunder!

We have identified a logic issue in the disasters queue. At certain points during the terraformation of Mars, the game recalculates the severity and the delay between the disasters in the queue. (This way they gradually become less of a threat and eventually stop occuring.) What you described happens when this recalculation occurs during a toxic rain.

We are working to fix this issue and it should be fixed in the next update. You've my deepest sympathy for this inconvenience. It's one of these logic issues that we can identify once thousands of players get the game, or by a mere chance.

In the meantime, the toxic rain will end when you reach the Toxic Rains End terraforming threshold. You can kill the disaster with ChoGGi's cheats mod, as well.

Glad to know that it's a known bug that will be fixed. However I did mention in my post that the rain did not actually end when I reached that point in terraforming. I reached the required 55% in both Atmosphere and Temperature, and got the message that Toxic Rains would stop. It did, but it only stopped it for a brief moment before the rain continued again almost instantly. I will check out that cheat though to at least hopefully get rid of it for the moment so I can continue the colony.

In-game press enter and paste in StopRainsDisaster()

Sorry to hear you encountered this bug. Your post made me think that it would be interesting if the toxic rain never stopped as long as you were slightly below the 55% threshold.... :)

For a moment I thought this was the Rimworld discussion group.

Actually it doesnt make vegitation spread inpossible, just spam the seed mission from the planetery view 20 times and you will max it out

I'd need to see a copy of your saved game.

Or if you have ECM and want to take a screenshot of ~g_RainDisaster and ~RainsDisasterThreads

hmm, could try these?
DeleteThread(RainsDisasterThreads.toxic.activation_thread)
RainsDisasterThreads.toxic.activation_thread = false
FinishRainProcedure("toxic")

Edit: in that order
