No Sound over HDMI

I have no sound anymore over the HDMI connection. the game still use the speaker of my laptop. if i deactivate them there is no sound. this problem is new.
tried anything, is there an option to force to use soundoutput over HDMI?

It's almost definitely an issue with your computer's settings, not the game.

other games are working well. only this game has that issue

That still doesn't mean that it is the game, you could very well have something on the system that is causing interference. Computers are complex machines, despite how easy it may seem when you use it, anything could've changed between one game to another.

Make sure that none of your settings have been changed between them, make sure that the audio isn't getting auto-muted as well (this is a common problem when you use HDMI for audio on a computer)

Last but not least, run a verify on the game files to make sure nothing got corrupted just to be safe. If everything shows up as being verified then the problem exists *elsewhere*.

I'm using a desktop and Windows 10, but when I want to switch between say headphones (speakers) and HDMI audio I need to click the speaker icon at the bottom right, then click on the audio device and select the new audio device.

tried this already, then i dont have any sound. but i just use headphones now. i think the game just dont detect soundoutput over hdmi anymore and i dont know why.

i cant get any sound in this game at all... just this game, not any others. Following.

*UPDATE* - I realised i had been using sleep mode last few days, so did restart and sound working now. Ive noticed windows tends to remember sound setting for applications (such as volume) even after closing then opening app again later (during same session). My bug was probably related to that, very strange that only this game of the 5+ apps (and 2 other games) had this issue (after restarting the game/app)

same here, accidently hit 'disable' in sound on wrong device while game and a movie were minimized, re-enabled it straight away and did have to reopen mpc (video player) to get audio working on that again, but no matter how what i do over however many days this game (and only this game) still refusing to output audio via that port (standard headphone jack)

No other inputs atm, hence me disabling old devices
