One of the parameters when selecting a site tells you how steep the area is (it's not one of the meters, it's text above it).

Yea, ive tried for over 2 hours now, round 140 tries. all says "Relatively flat". and i get a ♥♥♥♥ map with craters, mariana trenchholes in the middle, or mountsains all over, most of them not even flat ontop to be built on. this whole Map thingy about this game is garbage.

Just level it with the landscaping tools then.

I don't think the maps site has been updated for awhile (tyrberg mentioned being busy with work or something)?
I noticed the locations were changed in the armstrong update so

The locations should not be changed. If they did, then this is a bug :/

Oh sorry you're right, locations are the same, it's the breakthroughs that changed :)

Yeah, the new breakthroughs from GP introduce reordering of the existing ones. Can't do much about that :(

8N 122E is relatively flat.
If you want it or any similar location flatter, just use the new landscaping tools.
You can also flatten for free ;)
