What's the best colonist job AI mod?
because dear god they could not have made the base AI worse if they tried deliberately. There's got to be something that'll get the stupid little spuggers to actually move one dome over to somewhere with work, houses and AIR.

I know! I have two colonists homeless in a dome 10 hexes from a dome with 24 available houses and they are ignoring my assigning them to those homes. Then one was starving and ran past a diner and two groceries, all of them had available space inside, to go pickup a food box at my depot...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the AI. These posts crop up again and again, and it always comes down to people misunderstanding how the system works, not utilizing filters and building job settings properly, and not specializing domes.

I've got colonies of 12-15,000 colonists across dozens of domes that work just fine with no job AI mods simply by correctly using the tools they already give us to work with.

Remember some people haven't played the game a long time. More helpful would have told this person how to fix the problem other than saying how good you are.

That's been done, repeatedly, by myself and others. There are multiple guides and old threads that go into detail about how to make it work. There's a reason there's a search bar in the forum. And my point wasn't "how good I am" but that the problem the OP is complaining about doesn't really exist because those colonies of mine would have been impossible if it did.

If this was something rare I'd be more than willing to help out, but I can find dozens and dozens of threads on the topic with a single search of the issue, so if I can OP can too. Hell, there's almost a carbon copy of this post one page back on the forums.

I really don't try to solve these kind of problems anymore.. I had both homeless and unemployed...with open jobs and residencies... it seems after a while the problem fixes itself automatically..... unless I want to fix it fast, just because I spotted it, I move them manually.

This game lost me when the first colonist were unhappy about not having a casino when they are the first 10 people on mars and i built one 15 meters away in another dome and they wouldn't go there.

Casinos need workers, and there needs to be a connection between domes for colonists to use or work in a dome that isn't their own.

You don't need a casino, it can help improve comfort (and thus reproduction rates) but there are other options.

What i mean is that i put a casino in a dome that was linked to his and it didn't fulfill his requirement somehow.
If the casino isn't working all day the colonist might easily miss the chance to use it, they won't immediately go to a casino when it is built because they might be working or using another service.

Building a casino is a waste when only one person wants it. And it is only -10 comfort for not having a service of a type when they decide to try and visit one, easily overcome by having services that are needed by everyone.

I have homeless and jobless idiots in one dome when all they need to do is hop on a shuttle and move to another some with free space and available jobs.

But nah.

Do you have a thumbs up of any kind in the filter for the dome they won't leave?
