Late game crashes increasing

SM has been crashing more and more. I have to note that I have a colony of about 12000 people and about 40 or so domes. Is the software getting overloaded with all of stuff I have going on?

There have been a lot of performance and stability improvements since the last update in the winter and they will be included in the upcoming update next week. Hopefully you will see a big difference.

If you don't have many mods, do you mind if I get a copy of that save (be good for stress testing mods)?

This is an issue related to this topic but not exactly the same. The game has been occasionally freezing when loading a saved game but always loads on the second or third try. I think it's the Laser Tag Center mod that is doing it but that it is intermittent is strange.

Sure, I wouldn't mind sending you the saved games. It has gotten to the point now where the saved games fail to even load. The game crashed when I try. It does not even work after 3 or 4 attempts. I can send you the last save that I have been able to load, and the few saves that I have made after that point that I can't load anymore. I have about 12,000 colonists and 107 domes in that game. I know that is an insane amount, I just wanted to build the greatest colony ever. I don't have any actual mods running in the game. I'll try to figure out how to send saved games and then I'll get back to you.

I see, only I don't have any mods in the game and I cannot load the saved game even after 4 attempts, the game always crashed when I do. I think having 12,000 colonists is the breaking point for the game.

The ones beyond that are games that I saved after staring from that one, but which I cannot load anymore. I don't know if the .sav files contain all the data you need. No, "The cold wave has passed" is the last one that works. The rest of them are borked, at leat for me.

Yeah, "the cold wave has passed" is the only one that works for me.

I got "USA SOL 339 The last 2 saves failed i du" to load. So I saved it under a different name and that save didn't want to load.. It may be that all of them will load if one tries over and over so I suspect the game has issues with loading when the map is well developed.
