Can I move everyone living in one dome to another dome in one go?
So, I'm on the verge or unlocking mega domes (are there large domes? My research tree jumps from medium to mega) so I've been considering building one mega dome and closing down the two basic domes I had previously, however it would be a pain if I had to move colonists individually.
My plan would be to build the mega dome, connect it to my medium dome (which is connected to the basic domes) set up adequate smart housing and then deactivate the two basic domes I started off with; which should leave me with room to spare I assume. I figure that one mega dome would require less materials for maintenance and give more comfort to colonists than two linked basic domes.

Can I batch move people? Does this sound like a good idea in terms of planning?

Deactivating the dome will turn off the life support which will make things unpleasant for a while.
Use the filter on the dome you want them to leave and just tell it to exclude everyone. They'll leave for somewhere else that has housing then. You can speed it up by demolishing their housing.

Thanks, figured it would be something like this. A "move group" mechanic would be a great addition.

What gimme said. Don't suffocate them, just use the filters to push them out. Make sure the domes are either within a short distance of each other (passages will also work) or you have the shuttles tech researched and built, otherwise there is no way for colonists to move between domes.

There aren't 'large' domes. Goes straight from medium to mega. There are other dome types/shapes, though some are only unlocked from specific breakthroughs and others are just variations on the base types. Good overview: https://survivingmars.paradoxwikis.com/Domes

I have moved colonists from one dome to another without any issues. This is what i do.
1. Quarantine all domes except for the domes you want the colonists to move to and from.
2. Have a shuttle hub available if the domes are not in walking distance.
3. Turn off all the buildings in the old dome leaving only life support running.
4. Wait for everyone to move out.

True, there lack of colonists managment tools. Ye, we have filters and other, but i literaly want this dome have exactly 4 medics, so i need train exactly 2 more, why i have no tools to plan specialists production in school? I want only engeners live in this sector, and scientists in another sector (but same dome) why i have no tools to manage it? Why i have no tools to set cap of wanted specialist for every dome?

Anyone knows is there any improvements or content dlc plans for these game after green planet?
