BioRobots
I've got Mars all at 100% everything, now I noticed I can build BioRobots. So just where are they once built? I have all the research and see no option to have them replace humans in my factories.

They're just regular colonists. They show up in the dome connected to the drone assembler you built them at and act just like regular colonists. So they need to go to university, cure flaws, find housing, etc. etc. they just don't age. They don't 'replace' humans unless you keep making them and turn off children, eventually ketting your humans all die out.

I like the idea of them replacing humans. What about the option of replacing humans in their jobs with automation, I don't seem to be able to do it in my game and I have all the research.

As Ericus1 said, consider them just another meatbag but immortal and they cannot reproduce. Everything else is the same.

mods can get you there. the ECM enhanced cheat menus mod will allow this right from jump, breakthrough techs are limited by the game byy default. and its silly. it causes u to have to adapt a different playstyle but some of what u lose out on just sux. the ECM mod will help with ur researches as well

biorobots are under breakthroughs. so its a toss up about whether u will get it or not. the other option is is to run either a mod for breakthroughs. or install the ECM mod. it will allow u to directly research or u can use its research feature to unlock the research in the tree. also the ECM mod has a feature to raise the maximum number of breakthroughs allowed on a playthrough up to i think 55.

Is the biotech and other workshops usless?

The workshops are a way to soak up surplus workers and resources. At least as far as I can tell.
But in fact I hadn't get the breakthrough for biorobots. So this biotech workshops was just a waste of resources. How did workshops work when you have breakthrough?

I'm trying to finish my research as an "astro geologist".

I just demolished the bio-robotics workshop.
The drone factory continues to build robots !
In this case: It seems that the workshops are useless and waste of resources.
But if you have fusion reactors and an artificial sun, it doesn't matter.
The drone assembly plant is the only place that biorobots are made.
All the workshops are are places to occupy your colonists time for work purposes.

But they can't work in other place, am I right? How can I get rid of the colonists?

Several of my 65 biorobots have looked for different jobs in other domes or are studying at the university* (*screenshots in my Steam-Profile). Obviously no limit. They also move to other domes with shuttles.
I saw at screenshots
But my problem that I have about 1000 colonists! And they are still breeding!
I don't know what to do with them!!! )-;

Oh yes, this problem ...
Stop births in all domes and wait. The top button in my dome control.
And then wait ... sometime ...
It doesn't help!!! I tried!
How many hours do you have in Surviving Mars?
