What buildings are suited for Geologists? Is it the terraforming stuff?

oh okay thx I would of thought they would specialize in terraforming as well but nm then

ChoGGi made a mod that requires terraforming buildings to be manned, if you want to try it out. Personally, I think they should require colonists too; there are too many buildings that don't require humans, and the idea that you can play the entire game and terraform the entire planet without ever bringing over a single colonist is a flaw in the design.

I did?

Yep. I saw it when I was going through your collection of mods. Could swear it was you.

edit: OHH, no, I was thinking it was this one:

Which is wonders not terraforming buildings. My bad.

edit: edit: Meh, same difference. They all should require workers. Damn robots taking our jobs. And I'd suggest engineers for artificial sun and security officers for the space elevator, because frankly there's like basically nothing that uses security officers.

his next mod maybe? :lunar2019coolpig:

You want one that adds workers for the terraform buildings?
Ericus1 Jul 31, 2019 @ 12:48pm
Sure, if you're up for it. Well, at least some of the buildings. Core heater convectors would be geologists; MFGs - scientists; GHG and carbonate processor what do you think, biologists? Atmosphere is all about chemistry and biology, right? And there's already too many things that use engineers.

Lakes and forestation plants probably should remain unmanned, simply because you often aren't going to want to place them in range of a dome. If we ever get a global version of the forestation plant, that could be manned by biologist.

Biologists would come under scientists thought :steammocking:

I've thought about this quite a bit.
Well actually it was more like a few minutes but I swear! both my processors were fully committed for those few minutes.
And what I came up was it should either be all or nothing.
I agree that all buildings should be staffed. They are on Earth, unless they are a simple power transformer or something. On the other hand, wouldn't that be better to fully unhumaned terraform Mars before the first colonist, to avoid inconvenience? Such as accidentally getting spaced. Or spaced cause your old.
But on the other hand, that would be a stupid game. Named Awakening Mars.
So, I think the enjoyment of the game comes from the chaos and the casualties of getting the meat bags involved. So then I think it should be everything requires humans please. I would use that mod.

Well, I got it mostly working (skipped the depots and whatnot), but I haven't had much luck with existing buildings, they get the job slots, but nooobody will work in them.
