Because it's a disappointing and severe drop in quality from the first game. I felt my time with the game was not pleasant at all and I was patiently waiting for the game to finally become at least tolerable but it never did. There's a LOT of better games to spend your time on.
Compared to it's predecessors it is too "normal". Post Mortem clearly had a spooky atmosphere, and some occult murders. Still Life was awesome! The killers victorian style, and his M.O. Still Life 2 is kinda boring, just some dude kidnapping women, torturing them 'n stuff... Not too original, I must admit.
So I gave up. Anyway, the game itself isn't that bad, but if you want to finish it, save quite often !

The sequel betrays your trust after a great first installment. It's nowhere near as good. And even the "green" reviews still mention that the game fails to achieve the high mark set by its predecessor. It is a disappointment and I want to save people who got their hopes up by a reasonably well made game to get frustrated by this mindfield of a game.
And it's funny how you already have an opinion on the said game while not having played it on Steam yet. Just do them in order and you will understand what I mean and see how I was trying to save you time lost miserably.
I had to finish a game because I'm sort of a completionist and I regret ever doing that, because it doesn't get better.
