Still Life 2 stuck

I am stuck at the charred door section. I know I have collected all the data, used up all clues and yet Claire has yet to call me the second time to give me the killers name and have that damn door open. what am I missing?

Same thing happened to me. I cross checked with a walkthrough and was sure I had done everything.

The thing I was missing turned out to be: I hadn't asked the Sheriff about the prescription (found in a cabinet in the bathroom) who in return gives you a description of a man. Call Claire to give her the description and wait about half a minute for her to call back .

After this, your partner opens the door and you can proceed.

I actually did that way before so I am not sure what I am missing. Sheriff doesnt have anything to say anymmore and got the discription of the person of the rx. But thank you for the help ;)

wet the sponge in the sink with the picture of actress veronica lake on the wall. go outside to the back of the house and use the sponge on the trailer car to get a reg number and phone claire.

Same.
I'm stuck at charred door for 12 hours and I cannot go further.
Also, I cannot find out what I missed even though I watched
and followed Walkthrough video.
